We review any developments in the patient's medical or dental history and reported signs of potential pathology. During the clinical part of the screening, we carefully assess and palpate the head and neck area and examine the gums, tongue, cheeks, and throat, looking for any signs of abnormalities such as lumps, red or white patches, sores that don't heal, or any unusual changes.
